Ask Ausiello: hidden tattoos and real names…

Question: If anyone would have the answer to this, I know it would be you: Could you find out when the second season ofOnce Upon a Time will pick up (i.e. minutes later, weeks, etc.)? —Megan
Ausiello: How about instead I share with you two fun facts and one scooplet? Fun fact No. 1: The smoke that poured out of the well and swept through Storybrooke was originally going to be green, to match the mist that consumed fairytale land in the pilot. But it was changed to purple to be “more symbolic and magical,” Lana Parrilla tells us. Fun fact No. 2: Ginnifer Goodwin has a tattoo of a tiny apple (heh) on the inside of her right forearm, “though they won’t let me [display] it on the show,” she laments. And now for that scooplet: As Josh Dallas reminded us in our Q&A, we still don’t know Charming’s real name, but co-creator Adam Horowitz says it will definitely be revealed in Season 2. Please let it be “Morty.”

Spoiler Chat with Kristin

Flytheocean: We will see the Charming family’s first real reunion in the s2 premiere of OUAT, yes?
“I’m hoping for a family reunion!” Ginnifer Goodwin tells us of Once Upon a Time‘s second season, while Jennifer Morrison spills that she’s been told that Emma will be “exploring the relationship with her mother now that she knows who her mother is.”

snow_bluebird: Magic is back Regina will be powerful again, is she not afraid of Rumpel’s revenge?
While Lana Parilla couldn’t tell us too much, she says viewers will see a more evil side of Regina and yet continue to see flickers of humanity. “A combination of both,” she teases. “I think she softened with her relationship with Henry. I think she’s afraid to lose him!”

Once Upon a Time Stars Dish on Their Real-Life Romance! Plus, What’s Ahead in Season Two?

From Eonline:

Talk about a storybook romance!

Not only did Once Upon a Time‘s Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) finally get their happy ending on the ABC breakout hit, but costars Ginnifer and Josh were able to find love offscreen as well.

And that’s not all: Emma’s (Jennifer Morrison) set to have her own proper love interest when the show returns in the fall.

We chatted with Josh, Ginnifer and Jennifer at the EW/ABC upfront party, where they dished on last week’s “intense” finale, what’s in store next season and more…

Raise your hand if you teared up a bit when Snow and Charming were finally reunited in the season finale! (Yes, both of our hands are currently in the air because we bawled like babies and we’re not ashamed to admit it!)

Josh is aware that fans have been waiting for the reunion all season and says, “So were we…it’s been a long time coming! But now we have magic coming to Storybrooke, so now anything can happen!”

Once Upon a Time Duo Weigh In On (and Share Secrets From!) the Finale’s Big Reunion

From TVLine:

The following contains spoilers from the Season 1 finale of ABC’s Once Upon a Time. That said… c’mon people, tend to thy DVR.

To think that an assembly of lookie-loos almost threw a wrench in this TV season’s most romantic reunion.

Because as excited as Once Upon a Time stars Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas were to film the season-ending epiphany reached by Storybrooke’s Mary Margaret and David — that they really are Snow White and Prince Charming — precautions had to be taken to make sure game-changing moment didn’t leak out sooner than expected.

“Oh my gosh, it was incredibly intimidating,” Goodwin tells TVLine of shooting the momentous moment when Mary Margaret and David realize their true identities, thanks to the dark curse being (partially) lifted by Emma. “And what made me very nervous about that scene was we had a huge crowd of people watching us film [in the town of Steveston, BC], so I was very concerned that we were giving something away by yelling each others’ names across the street.”

As such, Goodwin suggested that she and Dallas instead use nonsense words that to the camera wouldlook like they’re saying “Snow” and “Charming,” then drop in the real names in post-production. But for one, the likes of “Marming” (an example she gave) weren’t quite cutting it. And two, the director and crew, she says, “ended up feeling that the crowds of people couldn’t actually hear us, given all of the elements.”

Dallas, meanwhile, says that he wasn’t nervous about the scene but instead was caught up in the “joyous” significance of it.

“That was the biggest moment of all [Season 1], particularly for David and Mary Margaret,” he says, “because it’s them all of a sudden realizing who they actually are. All of these memories come flooding back of who they are in fairytale land and their history there – but combined with the new history that they have in Storybrooke. When all of that came together, it hit them like a ton of bricks.”

So to answer one question coming out of the finale, yes, Mary Margaret and David now know who they really are but also retain memories of their brief yet significantly angsty time together there in Maine. Which is good, because, well, someone has to teach the school kids, right? And you can’t leave Granny confounded at the diner by an electric mixer.

“We don’t know anything about what’s truly going to happen next season,” Goodwin acknowledges, “but from what I understand, our characters will remember everything about both worlds, so it will be a whole new show!”
